Saqib Niaz
Physiotherapist & Chan Gunn Intramuscular Stimulation, Acupuncture, Concussion Management

Saqib graduated from The University of British Columbia with a Masters in Physical Therapy in 2012. He received his Bachelor of Human Kinetics from UBC as well in 2010. Saqib’s post-graduate training includes: concussion management (ImPACT), acupuncture certified through the Acupuncture Foundation of Canada Institute (AFCI) and Chan Gunn IMS. He is a proud member of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association as well as the Physiotherapy Association of BC.

 

Saqib was raised in New West and graduated from New Westminster Secondary School. He has been around sports all of his life. He started playing soccer at the age of 4 and continued throughout high school as a proud member of the Hyacks, Royal City, and played 3 years at Langara College from 2005-2007. He has helped lend a hand during the 2010 Olympic games in Vancouver, the Special Olympics, the Reebok Crossfit Regionals, CCAA Soccer Nationals, UBC Varsity Volleyball and Basketball, as well as the BC Summer Games.

Saqib has been the Physiotherapist for the Coquitlam Adanacs Lacrosse Association since 2013 and was part of the 2016 Minto Cup National Championship team.

 

In his free time, Saqib likes to stay active through playing soccer,  running, hiking or weight-lifting. He has continued to further his education and enjoys taking specialized post-graduate courses to better assist his patients.
